“The Shack”: A Book That Messes With Your Mind!
June 11th was my 64th birthday. As Robin had to perform her floral design wonders at QFC (Quality Floral Centers), I decided what was the very best thing for me to do after a year of non-stop broadcasting, phone calls and meetings: I turned off all my phones, got in my car, drove out into the woods, and sat there all day reading a book given to me by a Walk Show listener. It was called “The Shack,” by William P. Young (Windblown Media). Let me warn you, this book messes with your mind when it comes to our image of human suffering, of God, of the church and of ourselves! Yet, my conclusion was that my mind needed messing with!
